SINGAPORE: Treasurer of the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) Mr Gerald Sng collected a Political Donations Certificate at the Elections Department on Tuesday morning.
He told reporters that the certificate is for someone else.
He won't say who the SDP will be fielding in the Punggol East by-election on 26 January.
The party is expected to announce its candidate on Tuesday.
Mr Sng told reporters that the SDP has been very busy with preparations and will be focusing on hospitalisation and housing issues.
Mr Png Eng Huat of the Workers' Party arrived at the same time as Mr Sng to collect the Political Donations Certificate.
